Hello, amazing women of the Blessed and Balanced community,
Today, I would like to talk about a subject that is often ignored but affects numerous women as they go through life - premenopause. Even though it is a phase many of us go through, it may not always be talked about openly. However, I believe we can change that by making this conversation as natural as discussing our favorite recipes or weekend plans.
Defining Premenopause:
Premenopause, also known as perimenopause, is the transitional phase before menopause sets in. During this time, our bodies start adjusting to hormonal changes, preparing for the grand transition. It's like a sneak peek into the amazing world of menopause.
Symptoms of Pre menopause:
Oh, the symphony of symptoms that premenopause can bring! Irregular periods, mood swings that rival a rollercoaster, sleep disturbances, and one particularly unwelcome guest – hot flashes. Yep, those moments when you feel like you're on fire, often at the most inconvenient times.

Embracing Hot Flashes – Here's How:
Hot flashes, as uninvited as they are, can be managed. Here are a few tricks I've been trying out:
1. Stay Cool: Dress in layers, so you can easily shed some clothes when the heat wave strikes. Light and breathable fabrics are your best friends.
2. Mindful Breathing: When the heat creeps up, take a moment for slow, deep breaths. It can help cool both body and mind.
3. Stay Hydrated: Sip on water throughout the day. A cool glass of water might just be your go-to remedy.
4. Cooling Foods: Incorporate cooling foods like cucumbers, watermelon, and mint into your diet. They can help ease the intensity of hot flashes.
5. Mind Over Matter: Sometimes, knowing that it's just a temporary phase can help you power through. Embrace it as a part of your journey, and it might just lose its edge.
Let's Normalize the Conversation:
Ladies, it's crucial that we make discussions about premenopause a regular part of our lives. By sharing our experiences, tips, and stories, we can create a supportive environment where every woman feels heard and understood.
My invitation to you:
If you're noticing premenopause symptoms too, let's walk this path together. Share your stories, tips, and questions in the comments below. Let's learn from each other and rewrite the script of how we approach this phase of our lives.
Together, let's embrace the journey, learn, and grow.
