Embarking on this educational journey at 45 was a decision driven by a simple yet profound realization – that in order to be better, I had to do better. With two young adults and a teenager looking up to me, I wanted to show them that it's never too late to chase your dreams.
The catalyst for thinking bigger was, surprisingly, myself. As a mom, I've always put their needs before mine, but this time I recognized the importance of investing in my own growth. This pursuit of my degree isn't just about the paper; it's about proving that growth and self-improvement are lifelong endeavors, and I hope my journey inspires them to always strive for their best selves, no matter where they are in life.
Life be taking me in a choke hold but, God.
