When I Fully Committed to God, Everything Changed

For a long time, I wanted better but I wasn’t fully surrendered. I asked God to protect me, guide me, and bless me, but I was still holding on to things that didn’t serve Him or me.

And while God is gracious, I now realize something powerful:He didn’t just protect me from things happening to me in my sin He also held back things for me because of it.

It wasn’t until I truly committed to Him mind, body, and spirit that everything in my life began to shift. Once I let go of my way and embraced His, doors began to open.

This year alone has been filled with so much breakthrough and restoration:

• I stepped into a new career, doing meaningful work that aligns with my values.

• I earned my Associate of Arts degree a huge milestone, especially at 46!

• I reconnected with my daughter, and I’ve been able to show up for her in a new, healed way. Rebuilding our relationship means everything to me.

• We moved into a new home, creating a fresh start filled with peace and purpose.

• My older son graduated from high school, and I couldn’t be more proud.

• My youngest son has grown in confidence, and even started serving on the media team at church, finding his own path in faith.

  
  

Each of these blessings reminds me of what’s possible when we fully surrender to God. Not halfway. Not with conditions. But completely.

And while I’m still trusting God for a few more things, I do so with peace because I know He’s faithful. I know His timing is perfect. And I know that what He has for me is worth the wait.

To anyone who feels stuck or like their prayers are going unanswered:Ask yourself have I fully committed?Because once you do, things won’t just happen to you they’ll start happening for you.

Keep the faith. Keep trusting. And give God your whole heart He’ll never waste it.
